Candy Cart

Illustration

Throughout the “Illustration for Motion” course at School of Motion, I developed my digital drawing skills specifically for motion graphics, resulting in an array of illustrations ready for animation.

The Brief

We’re a mobile service that delivers all of your home movie snack needs within an hour. Our brand is playful, fun and light-hearted. We still want to present as professional, maintaining our customer’s trust. We are looking for something that fits in nicely with our current brand and logo.

Frame 1

Frame 1

VO: After a long day, when you want to go to the movies but don’t want to leave the couch.

Action: Scene bounces/swishes inwards quickly to reveal a woman sitting in a living room on her phone. A stream of snacks appear above her head and are slowly moving downwards.

Frame 2

Frame 2

VO: Meet CandyCart. It’s an app that delivers you movie candy in under an hour. Or popcorn and nachos for the full megaplex experience.

Action: Zoom into the CandyCart logo. Snacks are falling in slow motion as the soda’s lid comes off, the sauce flying off the hot dog, and the nachos, popcorn and cookies are leaving traces behind.

Frame 3

Frame 3

VO: Whether you’re at home, at the park, or hacking together a drive-in, a movie it’s complete without the munchies.

Action: The snacks start to disperse and land one by one in their different environments on cue with the VO: the original living room from the first scene, a park, inside of a car and a bedroom/bedside table.
